last data protection cert exam!
I just finished the last exam in my data protection law certificate program. :)
That means all 6 exams are done.
I have already received the grades for three of them, now I have to wait for the other three, then I can order my cert and be done. Then I can officially call myself a (certified) data protection officer. Wild.
I have mixed feelings about it; I always feel like I could have done better. I scored good grades in two, a meh grade in one (brainfog + headache during), and I feel like for the ones from this month, it's the same. The one I just finished was rough... I was able to answer everything and I knew what I said was right, but I am not sure if I really mentioned everything that was expected of me. I feel like I should have written more, but couldn't come up with more. Unnerving.
I will likely miss my goal of finishing it with a 1,x grade average. Oh well. Grades aren't everything, I suppose; I write about it, I volunteer about it, I talk to data protection officers in the field to get advice, and more. I'm always willing to learn and grow. Exams are a snapshot, and a little bit of luck is involved, too.
In the end, I didn't just choose a 2 week crash course with no exams. I chose a 1.5 year program with exams, and chose to finish it in 6 months instead, all while working fulltime, studying law parttime, and with chronic illnesses. I did the best I could.
I'm also done with one exam for my law degree, and have time to hand in another until 15th September. Then this exam season is officially over.
I kind of feel deflated and fried right now, but I guess that's from the underwhelming exam performance today. I kind of wish I could have ended it on a higher note instead.
